ABSTRACT
Introduction: The surgical treatment of the unilateral complete cleft lip consists of an association of techniques for reconstruction of the lip and nose. Some techniques of reconstruction of the nostril floor may be associated to these with the intention of obtaining a better symmetry in the repairing of these structures. Objective: The objective of this work is to demonstrate the reconstruction of the nostril floor in the surgery of unilateral primary cleft lip. Method: One hundred e thirty-three pacients with unilateral complete cleft lip were treated with a combination of techniques of Millard II and McComb and the confection of extended flaps for improvement of the nostril floor. Results: The final results had been considered satisfactory in the great majority of the patients, having as main complication the permanence of the asymmetry of the nasal openings. Conclusion: The reconstruction of the nostril floor is an important time in the surgery of unilateral primary cleft lip.
