ABSTRACT

The patients treated by the Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery Department of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia in Porto Alegre are referred via the Unified Health System (SUS) and have as main indication adbome in an apron secondary to the great loss of weight or gestation. Between January and December 2018, a total of 28 patients underwent abdominoplasty, all of them operated by the same resident doctor and the same advisor of the Plastic Surgery Service. All were women aged 25-69 years (mean 42.29 years) and had a body mass index (BMI) of less than 30. Of these, five patients (17.86%) had undergone bariatric surgery. In this review, the data obtained by the Department of Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Porto Alegre were shown according to the medical literature.

RESUMO

As pacientes atendidas pelo Serviço de Cirurgia Plástica e Microcirurgia da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Porto Alegre são encaminhadas via Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) e têm como principal indicação adbome em avental secundária a grande perda de peso ou gestação. Entre janeiro e dezembro de 2018, realizaram abdominoplastia um total de 28 pacientes, todas operadas pelo mesmo médico residente e mesmo orientador do Serviço de Cirurgia Plástica. Todas eram mulheres com idades que variaram entre 25 a 69 anos (média de 42,29 anos) e apresentavam índice de massa corporal (IMC) inferior a 30. Destas, cinco pacientes (17,86%) haviam realizado cirurgia bariátrica. Nessa revisão, os dados obtidos pelo Serviço de Cirurgia Plástica e Microcirurgia da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Porto Alegre se mostraram de acordo com a literatura médica.
