ABSTRACT
Malignant neoplasms of non-melanoma skin is the most incident form and encompasses squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and basocellular carcinoma (BCC), which is the most frequent type of cancer in the Brazilian population. This study aims to evaluate the anatomopathological profiles of outpatient plastic surgeries performed at a public hospital on the São Paulo coast. This is a retrospective study of 42 patients in the ambulatory of plastic surgery of the Hospital Santo Amaro of Guarujá from May to August of 2018 who underwent surgical resection of lesions in which material was sent for anatomopathological examination. Of the 42 patients seen at the outpatient clinic, it was possible to verify that there was a higher prevalence of SCC and BCC carcinoma in white men, according to the literature. There is a need for greater attention in primary and secondary prevention care focused on men.
