ABSTRACT
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the type of cancer most frequently found in humans. It is a malignant epidermal tumor, with slow growth and local invasiveness, which affects more frequently Caucasians. In our patient, the BCC invaded the eyelid and underlying skeletal muscle tissue, and the margins were free of malignancy. We report an exuberant and atypical clinical case that resulted from an extensive and delicate resection of the lesion and, after palpebral reconstruction with temporofrontal flap, resulted in the maintenance of aesthetics and motor function.
