ABSTRACT
Introduction: Difficulties in daily activities and self-image disorder are frequent complaints in patients after massive weight losses. The purpose of the paper is to share the experience of the Plastic Surgery Service of the University Hospital Cajuru with cruroplasty using the triangular flap technique.
Method: Five patients were selected in a total of ten thighs operated using the triangular retail technique. A cutaneous flap is maintained in the form of a triangle of proximal base in the area of the dermolipectomy.
Results: There were no cases of vulvar dystopia or significant distal migration of the scar. In 10% of the cases seroma was observed with the need for surgical re-boarding. In 20% of the thighs, surgical wound dehiscence was observed. One patient had delayed healing. In two of ten thighs, new ptosis was observed.
Conclusion: Cruroplasty using the triangular flap may be an alternative to reduce the complications of the procedure.
