ABSTRACT
Lipoabdominoplasty allows reduction of the adipose-skin excess, improving relief of the abdomen and correcting the diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles. Lipoabdominoplasty may be associated with a double plication technique. This study aims to evaluate the aesthetic result of the technique of longitudinal double plication of aponeurosis of the abdominal rectus muscles in lipoabdominoplasty surgery in overweight patients. We evaluated 35 patients, overweight women, who underwent lipoabdominoplasty surgery with the technique of double longitudinal plication of rectus abdominis muscle. The lipoabdominoplasty technique associates the technique of double plication of the rectus abdominis muscle in an overweight patient, and presented an excellent aesthetic result in the postoperative evaluations, providing an aspect in the anterior wall of the abdomen with flat relief, with reduction of the bulges, being a safe technique and of simple execution, providing a better body harmony, with better aesthetic results and greater patient satisfaction.
