ABSTRACT
Introduction: The plastic surgeon must seek the natural anatomy as closely as possible when he is performing a breast reconstructive surgery. In this study, we show Pessoa's mammoplasty ruler as an instrument to achieve this goal.
Objective: We describe the use of Pessoa's mammoplasty ruler and the cone volume formula on a case report of patient submitted to complementary breast reconstructive procedure.
Results: We managed to get good and predictable results with this anatomic and mathematical approach to breast reconstructive surgery.
Conclusions: The Pessoa's mammoplasty ruler and the Mammoplasty mammoplasty single demarcation can reduce subjectivity on breast reconstructive procedures, making the procedure to be more predictable and allowing for better quality of life for patients.
