ABSTRACT
Reconstruction of upper limb bone defects involves a large number of options. A good option is to use the free fibular flap, which offers a large amount of bone and support, and can also be associated with cutaneous or muscular components for coverage and monitoring. The case reported shows a proximal radius reconstruction using the free fibular flap after a monostotic fibrous dysplasia resection in a young male patient with a symptomatic lesion. Fibrous dysplasia is an intramedullary disorder that corresponds to approximately 5% of benign bone tumors. The treatment is often conservative and drug-based, but symptomatic cases can be treated surgically. In this case, the flap and the donor site did not have any complications and elbow movements were preserved.
