ABSTRACT
Abdominal contour deformities are the main complaint among patients who seek a plastic surgeon after expressive weight loss. Skin redundancy on abdomen anterior wall may have associated vertical and horizontal components, mainly in epigastric region, and the correction oh that region may have limited results with conventional abdominoplasty techniques. This paper aims to report to the scientific community a successful case operated in our service, with Fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty technique, after massive weight loss, focusing on complications and patient satisfaction, in order to demystify risk concept and aesthetic result loss with the vertical scar.
