ABSTRACT

The authors analyze the routine employed at the Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in the treatment of microtic ears, calling attention to details in the positioning and sculpturing of the new ear and recommending the use of the epicranial aponeurosis (galea) to protect the grafted cartilage, during the retroauricular sulcus construction.

RESUMO

Os autores apresentam a sistematização adotada no Hospital Universitário Clementino Fraga Filho da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro na correção das microtias. Mostram a importância dos detalhes de posicionamento e modelagem da neo-orelha e a conveniência de se usar a aponeurose epicraniana (gálea), no segundo tempo da reconstrução, para proteger a cartilagem enxertada.
