ABSTRACT

With the increase in restrictive gastroplasty performed for weight reduction, a growing number of patients displaying massive weight loss have been seeking treatment by means of plastic surgery for social acceptance. One of their major complaints is laxity at the thighs. In this study, a technical option of crural dermolipectomy with medioanterior extension is presented. Seven patients underwent the proposed surgical procedure. High satisfaction levels and few complications were observed.

RESUMO

Com o aumento na incidência das gastroplastias redutoras, houve um incremento no número de pacientes apresentando grandes perdas ponderais que procuram a ajuda da cirurgia plástica para se reintegrar à sociedade. Uma das principais queixas destes pacientes é a flacidez da região femoral. Apresentamos, neste estudo, uma opção técnica de dermolipectomia crural com prolongamento médio-anterior. Sete pacientes foram submetidos à cirurgia proposta. Obtivemos altos índices de satisfação com poucas complicações.
