ABSTRACT

The authors praise an efficient treatment for the solution of mammary malformation (Poland's Syndrome), with the situs inversus totalis. The technique employed was the one used in a plastic surgeon's routine, without need of special hospital facilities or any longer time of internment. The use of the expansor of mammary tissue and the placing of a permanent prosthesis were the solution, which we found suitable for correcting the deformities above mentioned.

RESUMO

Os autores preconizam um tratamento eficaz para a solução das má formações mamárias (Síndrome de Poland), na presença de situs inversus totalis. A técnica utilizada é empregada na rotina do cirurgião plástico, não exigindo hospital de grande porte, nem tempo de internação prolongado. O uso de expansor de tecido mamário e a colocação de prótese definitiva foram as soluções que achamos adequadas para a correção da deformidade.
