ABSTRACT

The masculinizing mastectomy is a surgery of affirmation of gender and part of the transition from the feminine to the masculine. This study aims to describe a technique of masculinizing mastectomy from a personal interpretation. In order to perform the technique, the papillary-areolar complex (CAP) was preserved and repositioned superiorly in the new point (A), and decortication of the upper skin flap was established on the island and fixed after repositioning. The technique presented in this study aims at a better esthetic result, keeping the scar in the mammary furrow and maintaining the upper pole with the superior vascular pedicle preserving the nutrition of the areola and CAP. It is indicated for breasts of small and medium size with grade III ptosis. The technique described differs from all those presented in the literature consulted. The technique presented excellent esthetic results, giving a better camouflage of the scars and an esthetically pleasing male aspect with soft contours.

RESUMO

A mastectomia masculinizadora é uma cirurgia de afirmação de gênero e parte da transição do feminino para o masculino. Este estudo visa descrever uma técnica de mastectomia masculinizadora a partir de uma interpretação pessoal. Para realizar a técnica, o complexo aréolopapilar (CAP) foi preservado e reposicionado superiormente no novo ponto (A), sendo realizada decorticação do retalho cutâneo superior em ilha e fixado após reposicionamento. A técnica apresentada neste estudo visa um melhor resultado estético, mantendo a cicatriz no sulco mamário, e mantém o polo superior com pedículo vascular superior preservando a nutrição da aréola e do CAP. É indicada para mamas de tamanhos pequenos e médio com ptose grau III. A técnica descrita difere de todas as apresentadas na literatura consultada. A técnica apresentou excelentes resultados estéticos, conferindo uma melhor camuflagem das cicatrizes e um tórax com aspecto masculino esteticamente agradável com contornos suaves.
