ABSTRACT

Introduction: Burns are one of the most severe traumatic injuries and their treatment requires a multidisciplinary approach, where the role of the plastic surgeon is vital. The plastic surgeon is entrusted with the challenging goal of restoring the skin's protective function and simultaneously recovering the aesthetic aspect of the burnt area.
Case report: A 27-year-old woman underwent a mastopexy with inclusion of implants, where the skin removed from the breast was used as a full-thickness graft in the mandibular and submental area for the treatment of a scar. The patient showed complete integration of the graft, and no areas of epidermolysis were observed. The aesthetic results were excellent, and the patient was completely satisfied; moreover, an improvement in the dyschromic and hypertrophic cicatricial areas was observed.
Conclusion: An autologous graft using breast skin is a good alternative for the treatment of sequelae of burns on the face and provides excellent aesthetic results.

RESUMO

Introdução: As queimaduras constituem uma das lesões traumáticas mais graves e seu tratamento requer uma abordagem multidisciplinar, em que o papel do cirurgião plástico é fundamental. Restabelecer a função de proteção da pele, mas também recuperar a estética da área, queimada são objetivos desafiadores que o cirurgião plástico procura atingir.
Relato de Caso: Paciente feminino de 27 anos submetida a mastopexia com inclusão de implantes, em que se aproveitou a pele retirada da mama para realizar um enxerto de espessura total em região mandibular e submentoniana para tratamento de cicatriz. A paciente teve uma integração completa do enxerto, sem evidenciar-se áreas de epidermólise. Os resultados estéticos foram excelentes, conseguindo a satisfação da paciente e melhoria das áreas discrômicas e hipertróficas cicatriciais.
Conclusão: O enxerto autólogo a partir da pele da mama constitui uma boa alternativa para o tratamento de sequelas de queimaduras em face, possibilitando ótimos resultados estéticos.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: The lips are the central characteristic in the lower third of the face, being essential for mimicry and facial expression, speech, and swallowing, without forgetting the aesthetic component. The presence of excessive large lips (macroqueilia) represents an occasional but significant challenge in plastic surgery. The technique called "bikini reduction cheiloplasty," described in 2007, unlike the techniques previously described, is focused on reducing lips and restoring their anatomy, providing a more harmonious lip contour.
Case Report: Male patient, 18 years old, black race with a complaint of excessively large lips for whom surgical treatment using the bikini technique was proposed, with a good aesthetic result.
Conclusion: Based on the correct indication and execution, we can conclude that the technique of reducing cheiloplasty in bikini is a safe alternative, easy to perform, and that provides a satisfactory aesthetic result.

RESUMO

Introdução: Os lábios são a característica central no terço inferior da face, sendo fundamentais para mímica e expressão facial, fala e deglutição, sem se esquecer do componente estético. A presença de lábios excessivamente grandes (macroqueilia) representa um desafio ocasional, mas significativo na cirurgia plástica. A técnica denominada "queiloplastia redutora em biquíni", descrita em 2007, à diferença das técnicas anteriormente descritas, não está focada apenas na redução de lábios, mas também na restauração da sua anatomia, proporcionando um contorno labial mais harmônico.
Relato de Caso: Paciente do sexo masculino, 18 anos, raça negra com queixa de lábios excessivamente grandes para o qual foi proposto tratamento cirúrgico usando a técnica do biquíni tendo um bom resultado estético.
Conclusão: Baseados na correta indicação e execução, podemos concluir que a técnica de queiloplastia redutora em biquíni é uma alternativa segura, de fácil execução e que proporciona um resultado estético satisfatório.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Abdominoplasty presents several variants according to each patient characteristics. Abdominal wall deformities, which may be functional and/or aesthetic, appear due to several factors such as: rectus abdominis muscles diastasis, cutaneous flaccidity, among others. This patient's body dimorphism can culminate with several negative effects on both physical and psychological aspects. In these cases, there are some abdominoplasty variants that aim to restore body contour, shorten surgical time and possible complications. The choice of the technique to be performed should have as main objective the improvement of individual deformity of each patient.
Method: Three case reports of patients who underwent abdominoplasty with specific techniques due to each one characteristics will be presented. The complications present in the patients in question are considered minor, whose predominance was dehiscence in places of greater tension. The aesthetic results were satisfactory.
Results: It is possible to observe satisfactory results in cases of patients with abdominoplasty techniques different indications. The good indication of surgical technique for each case is crucial in abdominal deformities treatment after major weight loss or due to medium scars presence from previous surgeries.
Conclusion: Variants of abdominoplasty techniques cited have the objective of restoring body contour on some specific types of patients, shorten surgical time, reduce morbidity, obtain smaller scars and, consequently, improve aesthetic results.

RESUMO

Introdução: A abdominoplastia apresenta diversas variantes de acordo com as características de cada paciente. As deformidades da parede abdominal, podendo ser funcionais e/ou estéticas, surgem devido a diversos fatores, como: diástase dos músculos reto abdominais, flacidez cutânea, entre outras. Esse dimorfismo corporal do paciente pode culminar com diversos efeitos negativos tanto no aspecto físico quanto psicológico. Nesses casos, existem algumas variantes de abdominoplastias que visam restaurar o contorno corporal, diminuir o tempo cirúrgico e possíveis complicações. A escolha da técnica a ser realizada deve ter como objetivo principal a melhoria da deformidade individual de cada paciente.
Método: Serão apresentados três relatos de casos de pacientes que foram submetidos a abdominoplastia com técnicas específicas devido às características de cada um. As complicações presentes nas pacientes em questão são as consideradas menores, cuja predominância foi deiscência em locais de maior tensão. Os resultados estéticos foram satisfatórios.
Resultados: É possível observar os resultados satisfatórios em casos de pacientes com diferentes indicações de técnicas de abdominoplastias. A boa indicação da técnica cirúrgica para cada caso é crucial no tratamento das deformidades abdominais após grandes emagrecimentos ou devido à presença de cicatrizes medianas por cirurgias prévias.
Conclusão: As variantes das técnicas de abdominoplastias citadas têm o objetivo de restaurar o contorno corporal de alguns tipos específicos de pacientes, encurtar o tempo cirúrgico, diminuir morbidade, obter cicatrizes menores e, consequentemente, melhorar os resultados estéticos.
